ALECIA BLAIR MILFORD (ALI), SUGAR ARTIST

Alecia Blair Milford (Ali) is one of the top Sugar Artists in Jamaica. Her interest in cakes started at the head table of her wedding reception in 2009. She was very excited to see their cake unveiled, but became disappointed, as the details she expected were absent. Both Ali and her husband are Graphic Designers and Photographers, so they are big on details. At that very moment she challenged herself to learn the craft.

During Ali’s training her excitement peaked and she became very passionate about the art of cake designing, baking and decorating.

Ali’s graphic design skills came in very handy and as she went through the process she envisioned the joy of ultimate satisfaction on clients faces.

Now looking back, she remembers as a child, sitting and drawing tiers of cakes, now a reality... Cakes by Ali’s Sweet Fantasy, tiers of sweetness.

Ali has won four (4) awards at the SweetArt Bake Expo held in Kingston, Jamaica:

2018 Peoples’ Choice Award for Best-Decorated Cake (KFC cake)
2018 First Place (Fast Food Inspired category - KFC cake)
2018 Second Place (Wedding Cake category - All white wedding cake)
2019 Second Place (Cake Topper category - Shoe)

She has invested time in the business because it gives the latitude to tap into her creative ability. It is her passion. Ali loves to make people happy. For her its an awesome feeling when clients see their cake for the first time. The excitement on their faces gives her a sense of fulfillment and energizes her to start creating another masterpiece for the next client.
